The Carrier Relations Telco Cost Analyst is responsible for supporting the Carrier Relations team by working with our off-net vendors for supplying solutions and network infrastructure services.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensure all invoices are reviewed against company records for accuracy.
- Investigate, dispute, and resolve errors or mistakes in our inventory or on the invoices Uniti receives.
- Identify and report to Carrier Relations planners or management any areas which could be possible areas for cost savings and optimization.
- Prepare monthly reports on total bills, unresolved disputes, resolved disputes, credits received, credits due and any outstanding issues with vendors invoices.
- Assist Carrier Relations Planners and management with forecasting and reporting on offnet expenses, disputes, network costs or custom reports that involving offnet costs as may be required.
- Ensure company’s online inventory systems are kept up to date and accurate. Ensure all new ordered circuits appear on vendor invoices while tracking and ensuring accruals cover expected costs and ensuring all disconnected circuits are removed in a timely manner.
- Support Carrier Relations Planners with research into existing off-net inventory and costs.
- Constantly work to identify any offnet consolidation and optimization opportunities.
- Work closely with Uniti finance department to ensure that Carrier Relations is approving invoices in a timely manner and work to resolve any vendor late payment issues.
- Alert the Manger of Carrier Relations of any late payment charges on our invoices. Work to ensure our invoices are paid in a timely fashion.
- Assist with proposal responses and cost estimate and monthly, quarterly, and annual planning.
- Other tasks and duties as assigned by the Manager of Carrier Relations to support the team.

Education and/or Experience:
- BS or BA Degree in accounting highly valued but not required.
- Experience in project accounting, telecom cost analysis, or auditing highly valued.
- Experience with financial planning, reporting, and tracking highly valued.
- Highly organized with very strong attention to detail skills is critical.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook).
- Relationship management - ability to develop and maintain productive stakeholder relationships.
- Presentation skills, and excellent written and verbal communications skills.
